The official cross of the Jubilee 2025 will be given to the leaders of the pilgrim groups to accompany them as they pass through the Holy Door in the Basilica of Saint Peter. This rare cross was crafted by master carpenter and artisan Riccardo Izzi.
The cross will be handed over by volunteers to the group leaders before each group of pilgrims begins their journey to the Holy Door. This item, made of noble wood and carefully handcrafted, features on its main side a depiction of the glorified Christ, the light of salvation for humanity, at a time of great global crises, when people express their dire need for hope in various ways. On the other side of the cross is the official logo of the Jubilee 2025, a symbol of hope for believers from all over the world.
